Dr. Lynda Gustavsen, DVM

Dr. Lynda Gustavsen, DVM

Dr. Gustavsen joined our team in September of 2020. She grew up in northern Chicago and went to undergraduate and veterinary school at the University of Illinois and then practiced in Illinois for thirty years before migrating to our great state.

Dr. Gustavsen knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from an early age, and her first job was as a receptionist at a vet clinic. Through her many years of practice, Dr. Gustavsen has especially enjoyed ophthalmology, dermatology and using ultrasound to enhance the diagnosis of more challenging cases. She has enjoyed getting to know the pet family clients here at Randolph and is happy to be part of a hospital with a decades-long excellent reputation.

Pets & Hobbies
When not at work you will most likely find Dr. G gardening, cooking and renovating her house. She is admittedly addicted to the Food Network and HGTV channels, although when her beloved Chicago Bears are on they get top priority! She is also a wine enthusiast and has dreams of one day becoming sommelier—good at wine tasting.

A proud mother to two grown children who have shared their home through the years to a wide variety of animals from dogs and cats to rats and hermit crabs—currently Dr. G has one fur baby—a sweet border terrier named Al. Al was also thrilled to leave the cold behind for more temperate North Carolina!
