Melody is a Randolph County native who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Zoology from UNC Pembroke. She began her career as a zookeeper in North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana before transitioning into veterinary medicine.
After spending eight years in Arkansas working in an animal hospital in roles including boarding, reception, and inventory, Melody returned to North Carolina in early 2026 to be closer to family and joined our team.
She has a special interest in animal behavior and enjoys helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—especially during boarding.
Outside of the clinic, Melody enjoys hiking, traveling, and gaming. She shares her home with four dogs—Tuxedo, Mike, Molly, and Chaco—as well as two reptiles, Loki and Mushu.
